Full-scale tests

Testing of strategic aeronautical components such as flaps, horizontal and vertical tail planes, landing gear doors, steering and elevator rudders, pylons, panels of different geometries and sizes and other structural components that form part of an aircraft.

Multi-axis tests

Execution of complex tests involving application of multi-axis loads with more than 20 hydraulic actuators, simultaneously controlled with the most advanced control systems and with monitoring of their behaviour.

Panel and coupon testing

Apart from the test benches developed specifically for each component, CTA has standard test benches for various loads ranging from 100 kN to 5 MN for use with panels of different geometries and characteristics.

Drop and impact tests

Impact testing of aeronautical components and new materials using projectiles made of different materials such as rubber, metal, gelatine and ice, as well as different geometries (prisms, discs, spheres) and real components such as blades, birds and tyre fragments.

Dynamic performance tests

CTA has the capabilities and know-how to perform GVT and modal tests on large real components and monitoring of their dynamic response.
